If you love riding your road bike in the countryside (like I do), you probably plan in advance using some tool like Google Maps.
As you must painfully know, roads in Google Maps are not always paved!
Although some of us may enjoy a dirt road every now and then, we do not usually want to ride our $$$ new road bike through rocks or mud.
On MapMyGiro (yes, I do love the Giro d'Italia) you can import a route drawn on Google My Maps and exported as a KML file, or you can quickly generate a new route by defining a few waypoints.
MapMyGiro then uses high resolution satellite images along the route and a Convolutional Neural Network to determine if the road is paved or not for you!
